Ledcor’s ProLogis Park Bolton project was built on 25 acres of land, with a building footprint of 39,00 m
2 (416,000 ft
2). This project is certified LEED Silver.
Ledcor suggested that the client use recycled crushed concrete in lieu of specified limestone granular for the sub-base and base of the asphalt paving. This doubled the required recycled content criteria from 15 percent to 36 percent, earning three additional LEED credits.
Ledcor implemented innovative sustainable building tactics that included a TPO white roof system covering 100 percent of the project’s roof area (excluding mechanical equipment), and a construction waste management system that allowed Ledcor to recycle and salvage over 82 percent of eligible construction materials and land-clearing waste.
