    The Moss Mine is an open-pit mine and heap leach processing facility located in Mohave County, AZ.

    Ledcor’s work scope for the leach pad expansion operations consisted of earthworks, mass grading of pad, subgrade preparation including drill and blast, installation of CGL and LLDPE liner on 2:1 slopes, overliner and solution collection piping installation, and overliner gravel placement. A unique aspect of this project was the requirement for drilling and blasting on the uphill slope of the liner pad and using the blasted material as rock fill to establish the designed subgrade.
