Projects: Deep Foundations

This piling project was part of an overall expansion of the existing Muskeg River Mine plant. At this live plant site, our team installed more than 1,800 drilled casts and steel-reinforced piles. Additional scope included belled shafts, which were used to support increased weight.

Working in a live plant poses unique safety challenges. Ledcor constantly revised the Job Hazard Analysis to ensure the safety of all crew, as well as successful completion of the project.

The project was completed on schedule and it received recognition for an outstanding safety record.
