Ledcor has received substantial completion certificates after an aggressive six-month schedule constructing monopole foundations for the new 500kV Western Alberta Transmission Line. Despite the wide variety of configurations—from one-pole to three-pole, including rock anchors, cast-in-place piles, steel-driven piles, and poured concrete foundations—we are able to carry out the project entirely with Ledcor-owned equipment.

Notably, the three-pole foundations rank among the largest in North America. With the work spread out over 12 km (7.5 miles) of farms and wetlands, our strict adherence to environmental requirements is critical on this project. Our environmental performance on the project has been matched by our safety performance, with zero safety incidents recorded to date.
