Ledcor Foundations and Ledcor Pipeline collaborated on this “One Ledcor” project to provide critical foundations and shoring solutions. The work supported pipeline installation between a segment that feeds the LNG Canada Plant.
The project site featured unstable glaciomarine clay and a lower dike area with highly saturated ground. Because these conditions prevent conventional pipeline installation, the team implemented specialized shoring and piling strategies:
On this project, 3.5 km (2 mi) of sheet pile trench was installed and removed, including installation through five active water crossings. The project also included the installation and removal of eight bore pit locations (16 pits total) using deep shoring techniques.
The project reached completion in December 2022.
