This purpose-built housing project will provide 144 new homes, helping to address the growing demand for affordable housing in Canmore. The four- and six-storey apartment buildings are being constructed with a composite steel‑and‑concrete system that supports a faster, more efficient build through off-site fabrication. They also include bicycle storage, on-site resident amenities, and landscaped outdoor spaces.
With a near net-zero goal, the buildings will incorporate energy-efficient systems, durable materials, and waste‑reduction practices to minimize environmental impacts during construction and throughout long‑term operations. The residential units are designed to be fire-smart and will be supported by a 220 MW solar generation system, further reducing reliance on conventional energy sources.
