L & S Limited Partnership (Ledcor & SICIM – also known as LSLP) was selected to complete the pipeline construction of Spread 3 and Spread 4A of the Trans Mountain Expansion Project. Spread 3 and 4A are approximately 201 km through the mountainous region of South Central British Columbia, paralleling the North Thompson River Valley, extending predominately north-to-south. The scope awarded to LSLP includes 82 km of NPS 36 and 118.9 km of NPS 42 pipeline, commencing near Hargreaves, BC, and finishing near Vavenby, BC. Construction will be completed over several construction seasons spanning a total duration of approximately three years. These spreads cross widely varying terrain and include sections of wetlands, watercourses, rocky and mountainous terrain, steep slopes, and many areas with restricted access. The construction route parallels and abuts other lineal installations, including highways, roads, railroads, pipelines, electrical power, communications and fibre optic transmission lines, and buried pipelines.
