Ledcor Cares

The weekend of April 27 to 29 marked the 5th year that the Ledcor Lounge Lizards have participated in the annual Alzheimer’s Pro-Am Face Off Tournament in Edmonton. Not only did the team win their divisional championship, but they also placed second overall for their fundraising efforts by raising more than $112,000 for the Alzheimer Society.

Fundraising efforts included a pub night, 50/50, an online auction and much more. Employee donations alone totaled $12,000 and Ledcor matched an additional $10,000. This year’s efforts far surpassed their previous high of $48,000, thanks to the enthusiastic support of friends, families and trade partners.

The Alzheimer Society offers a network of educational and support services for those with dementia and their caregivers, as well as funding research efforts into the cause, prevention and cure of the disease.
