Ledcor’s growing expertise in U.S. federal highway projects continued with another contract awarded by the U.S. Central Federal Lands Highway Division. Ledcor’s Canyon de Chelly National Park project is located on land that is owned by the Navajo Nation and operated by the Park Service – unlike other national parks that are owned and operated federally. This has made stakeholder and community engagement an important part of the project.

In addition to upgrading a 16 kilometer (10 mile) section of road, Ledcor also installed fences and guardrails, and performed light civil work around Thunderbird Lodge, Thunderbird Lodge Visitors Center and the park campgrounds.
