Ledcor began work on the Cabin Gas Plant Phase 1 in August, 2010. The Cabin Gas Plant, located 60 km (37 miles) northeast of Fort Nelson, British Columbia in the Horn River Basin area, is considered the largest shale gas field in Canada at a capacity of 800 million cubic feet per day.

Construction of the EnCana Cabin Gas Plant 2 commenced August 2011 and was put on hold in December 2012 due to the market conditions for natural gas.
