St. Catherine of Siena Academy
St. Catherine of Siena Foundation
In 2011, Ledcor completed the construction of a 12,900 m2 (139,000 ft2) Catholic high school, St. Catherine of Siena Academy, which includes a chapel, gymnasium, cafeteria, classrooms and sports fields. The project is fully supported by the Archdiocese of Detroit and Archbishop Vigneron, who was impressed with the Ledcor team.
The project was modeled using the latest building information modeling (BIM) software that uses 3D visualization for design and coordination. BIM allows for conflict or clash detection well before construction begins, and throughout the life-cycle of the project.
