Completed in 2011, the El Cajon Public Safety Centre is a five-story structural steel building with three levels of integrated parking.
Developed on a seven-acre site to house police department operations and almost 200 employees, the $40 million facility contains operational and administrative space with two lower levels dedicated to 12 short-term detention cells, evidence storage, and an indoor shooting range. The remaining levels house administrative offices, crime scene investigation laboratories, a community meeting room, communications facility, and data facility.
