Project Profile
Evolution Fresh
Starbucks Coffee Company/Evolution Fresh Juice Company
Rancho Cucamonga, California
The recently completed Starbucks Evolution Fresh project included the remodel of the existing 250,000 sq. ft. of warehouse building to accommodate a new fresh juice production and distribution facility.
Ledcor provided the complete programming, planning, design, engineering, and construction management services for the new Evolution Fresh Juice Facility. Ledcor also provided the process planning and operation design, including the production equipment selections, procurement, installation, integration, controls, and commissioning program.
The building required extensive renovations and upgrades including new utility systems, process production equipment, automation packaging systems, electrical service upgrades, waste water treatment, compressed steam and air, and mechanical systems. The building expansion accommodates the delivery of bulk trailers and tubs of fresh citrus and fruit operations.
The new facility is designed to generate approximately 9 million gallons of bottled fruit and vegetable juice per year, with expansion capacity to 12 million gallons. The operation also includes a special High Pressure Processing technique, blending, and other industry advanced processing systems.
The project had to be completed under a phased permitted fast-track approach to accommodate the accelerated project schedule and Starbucks operational completion time frame requirements.
