Summit Air and Summit Helicopters represent the amalgamation of Summit Air, Arctic Sunwest Charters, and Trinity Helicopters.

Ledcor concluded the purchase of Trinity Helicopters, subject to regulatory approval, in January 2013, and Arctic Sunwest Charters in August 2012. In March 2014, Summit Helicopters acquired CC Helicopters to expand its capabilities and capacity and add to its operations. Summit Air has been operating out of Yellowknife for over twenty years and was purchased by Ledcor in 2009.

Fleet Highlights:

  • AVRO RJ85 Aircraft: Classified as one of the quietest and greenest aircraft in its class, this 90 seat, short haul passenger jet, is capable of operating on both paved and unpaved strips.
  • DHC-6 TWIN OTTER Aircraft: Operational year-round, this aircraft is capable of transporting passenger, cargo, or combination loads while operating on floats, wheels, skis or tundra tires.
  • BELL 412SP Helicopter: Featuring larger fuel capacity and higher takeoff weight than the standard model, this helicopter performs in the most extreme climates on the planet every day.
