Highway Construction

Ledcor Highways provides expertise in grading, aggregrate production, bridges, granular base course and paving for a wide array of Private and Public Sector clients.

Ledcor owns and operates two 450 tonnes/hour portable asphalt plants and related laydown equipment. We are accustomed to working with end product specifications and have in-house quality control teams dedicated to providing a superior product. Individual projects typically include up to 300,000 tonnes of granular base course and 175,000 tonnes of asphalt concrete pavement. We are also conversant and experienced with superpave mixes and recycled asphalt pavements (RAP).

Highway Maintenance

Our most recent six-year contract is maintaining 3,500+ kilometers (2200 miles) of primary and secondary highways in southeastern Alberta. This contract involves:

• snow and ice control
• crackfilling
• spray patch
• line painting
• bridge maintenance
• road inspections
• signs
• guardrail
• vegetation control, and
• numerous other activities.

 We have presented various value engineering proposals, benefiting both our client and Ledcor. We have signed a partnering charter, which guides our day-to-day activities and identifies "win-win" opportunities.
